- "Straight 1-on-2": The solo player is allowed one self-set. Otherwise standard rules apply. The solo person switches which opponent he serves to after he wins a service point.
- "All-time QB style": Essentially A plays against C with B playing both ways. B must always try to keep the ball in play but cannot win points outright. As soon as A or C spikes the ball, B switches sides and tries to keep it in play so the other can try to spike it.
- "Cutthroat style": If A serves, he starts the point playing against B and C. Whichever one of them spikes it, the other two are now teamed up against him. Any player wins a point if he spikes and the other two cannot return it on the net.
Big thanks to Chad Henkel for sharing his 3 man Spikeball rules.
